Green Places

I had another realisation today of the absolute necessity of being in nature. I was walking home from town with a dear friend. My son Michael was quietly sitting in the buggy, but my daughter Grace wouldn’t get in the buggy, nor did she want to walk on the pavement much. She kept stopping and seemed distressed if I held her or if she had to walk on the narrow man-made path , (she also found it hard on the hills to stick to a path), and would wander off into some driveway. But when at last we got to the fields, open space, freedom, Grace relaxed and ran joyfully, so did Michael, with pure happiness. It’s beautiful, now bluebells growing naturally around the great oak, many birds singing, gentle peace. We very rarely see any other children here, let alone little ones. Where do they all go? Perhaps in cars to some far away nature place, causing more pollution? Or to another indoor place? Hopefully they can enjoy being in a garden often.

Nature gives us inner Freedom, she looks after us when we look after her. Let’s take care, be grateful and kind to Nature, to the Earth. Keep the natural green places, and grow trees and plants where we can. 976F30EA-7DD9-4576-AA3F-BD45463D02B4
